Privacy Policy

BreezeBiz ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BreezeBiz mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (if provided or imported from Google Sign-In)
- Profile picture (Google Sign-In only, not stored by us)
- Authentication credentials managed securely by Firebase Authentication (Google LLC)
Guest use is supported without an account. Guest data is stored only on your device.
1.2 Business Data You Create
The App is designed to store your business data locally on your device by default. This includes invoices, proposals, clients, contacts, items, transactions, settings, and any logo or signature images you upload. This data belongs to you and is not accessed by us unless you enable Pro cloud sync (see section 1.4).
1.3 Device and Usage Information
We collect limited technical data to operate and improve the App:
- Device locale and timezone (used to auto-detect currency and date format)
- App version and operating system version
- Crash reports and error logs (via Firebase)
We do not collect precise location data, contact lists, camera or microphone access, or advertising identifiers.
1.4 Cloud Sync Data (Pro Users Only)
If you subscribe to BreezeBiz Pro and enable cloud sync, your business data (invoices, clients, proposals, transactions, and settings) is encrypted in transit and stored in Firebase Firestore under your unique user ID. Logo and signature images are stored in Firebase Storage. This sync is optional and can be disabled at any time. Data is written only under your authenticated user ID and is not accessible to other users.
1.5 Subscription and Payment Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Subscription status and entitlement data are managed by RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives your Google Play purchase token and your Firebase user ID to verify your subscription. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
1.6 Account Deletion Survey
When you delete your account, we optionally ask for a reason. If provided, your response is stored in Firebase Firestore under your user ID. This data is deleted permanently when your account is deleted and is used solely to improve the App.
1.7 Email Communications
We send transactional emails to your registered address for:
- Email address verification
- Password reset requests
- Account deletion confirmation
We do not send marketing emails. You will only receive emails triggered by your own actions in the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
- Authenticate your account and maintain session security
- Verify subscription status and grant Pro entitlements
- Sync your data across devices (Pro users who enable sync)
- Send transactional emails you request (verification, password reset)
- Diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
- Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Firebase services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Data processed by Firebase is subject to Google Cloud's data processing terms.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
All your business data (invoices, clients, proposals, etc.) is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device. The database is isolated per user account — switching accounts creates a separate database. App lock PIN is stored using your device's secure storage (Android Keystore).
4.2 Cloud Storage (Pro)
Pro cloud data is stored in Firebase Firestore in the us-central1 region. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS. Firestore security rules ensure only the authenticated owner can read or write their data.
4.3 Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted local databases, secure credential storage, authentication requirements, and Firestore rules that enforce per-user isolation. However, no system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@breezebiz.biz.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: Retained on your device until you uninstall the App or delete your account.
- Firebase Authentication: Your account record is deleted immediately upon account deletion.
- Cloud sync data (Pro): Deleted from Firestore and Firebase Storage immediately when you delete your account.
- Deletion survey responses: Deleted permanently with your account.
- Firebase logs: Retained for up to 30 days in accordance with Google's standard log retention policy.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your Firebase Auth record, all cloud-synced data in Firestore and Firebase Storage, and the deletion survey entry. Local data on your device is also deleted. This action is irreversible.
6.2 Data Access and Portability
Your business data is directly accessible and exportable within the App (PDF invoices, proposals). For a copy of any personal data we hold on our servers, contact us at support@breezebiz.biz.
6.3 Opt-Out
Cloud sync can be disabled at any time by not enabling it (it is not on by default). You may continue using the App fully offline without any data leaving your device.
6.4 California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@breezebiz.biz.
6.5 EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Our lawful basis for processing is performance of a contract (providing the App service). To exercise your rights, contact support@breezebiz.biz.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@breezebiz.biz and we will delete it promptly.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States (Firebase services are hosted on Google Cloud in us-central1). By using the App, you consent to this transfer. Where required by applicable law, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Google's standard contractual clauses.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice.
